March 2011

What a wonderfully eventful month!! We're kind of starting backwards here, but #2 left cub scouts and officially "crossed over" to become an 11 year old Boy Scout. Before he did, he got the Super Webelos award, meaning he earned every achievement badge possible as a Webelos scout.
#3 is constantly adding to his badges, arrow
#5 LOVES to camp, so we even fit in a family campout--plus one of #1's friends came so that it could be counted toward the camping merit badge.
Dad took the 3 oldest boys to Guadelupe River Park. They had an absolute blast. I think I'm most jealous of the time spent in their canoes.
But they also got to tour Natural Bridge Caverns. We want to go back soon because part was closed for renovations during their visit.
That trip was when we learned that #3 can sleep like a pretzel.
The only thing we can imagine that might outdo a visit from Gram is a visit from Gram AND a cousin or two!
Oops--back to the Spring Break trip. :) They also went on a wildlife safari and got to see a wildlife preserve with deadly snake and big cats and such.
This is how Gram spends most of her time when she's with us. We call this the ET. Remember when he hides in the closet amidst a million stuffed animals? That's pretty much what it looks like every time she sits down.
The legos eventually covered the entire floor of the room when they got them all dumped out.
We celebrated #2 turning 11 during the visit by going to "Mars Needs Moms" and coming home for some jumping and ice cream bars.

I absolutely LOVED this show. So much fun! The boys got tired, so we left at intermission. I was a little bummed, but hey, this year they made it all the way through the ABBA tribute show and the vote was unanimous to stay!
This is fabulous art work from #3 describing the time Gumby the hedgehog darted up his pant leg.
This art work is #4's version of Plants VS. Zombies.
More time at the zoo for #5 and his best friend, Camo.
This is after our Photography merit badge workshop. Thanks to Anne for teaching!!

This was our Primary activity--don't ask. :)

This was Michael's pre-UIL band concert. I am continually amazed by these talents!
